<p>The ratings for all of the Edmonton Oilers in NHL 24 have been revealed, and it&#8217;s safe to say that the Oilers are one of the best overall teams in the game. Credit goes to YouTuber, TactixHD, who was one of the first to upload a video with all of the ratings for every team in NHL 24.</p>

<p>There&#8217;s no surprise who the big guns are for the Oilers as Connor McDavid landed the highest rating in the game with a 97 overall while Leon Draisaitl earned himself a 95 overall rating. After a career year that saw him register 104 points, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was given an 88 overall, his best in quite some time. Zach Hyman&#8217;s 83-point campaign in 22/23 led EA to give him an 87 overall.</p>
<p>Evander Kane comes in at 85 overall after a season plagued with injury while the newest Oilers forward, Connor Brown is 83 overall. As for the bottom six, Warren Foegele finds himself an 81 with Mattias Janmark just below him with an 80. Ryan McLeod joins the 80 overall club in this year&#8217;s game and is one of the fastest players on the team with a 90 speed rating.</p>
<p>King of the fourth line, Derek Ryan comes in at 79 while Dylan Holloway — who&#8217;s due for a breakout year btw — has a 78 rating with medium potential. Other forwards included in the breakdown are Drake Caggiula with a  77 and Lane Pederson with a 75.</p>
<h2>Defense</h2>
<p>The Oilers&#8217; blue line in NHL 24 is loaded. Both Darnell Nurse and Mattias Ekholm have the same rating. Ekholm proved to be just what the Oilers needed after being traded for Tyson Barrie last season and showed he&#8217;s worth an 87 overall. The Darnell Nurse haters might want to look away as EA Sports found he was deserving of an 87 as well.</p>
<p>Just behind them is 23-year-old Evan Bouchard who comes in with an 85 rating after leading all defensemen in points during the post-season despite being eliminated in the second round. The lowest-rated defensemen on the team are Cody Ceci with 82, Brett Kulak with 80, Philip Broberg with 79 with medium top-four potential, and finally Vincent Desharnais with a 75 overall rating.</p>
<h2>Goalies</h2>
<p>Goaltending isn&#8217;t as high as the rest of the team, however, as Stuart Skinner earned himself an 84 overall after playing 50 games for the Edmonton Oilers last season, finishing with a .914 save percentage and 2.73 goals against average. Jack Campbell will be looking to prove EA wrong as they handed him an 83 for his first season with the Oilers.</p>
<h2>In Conclusion</h2>
<p>For the most part, EA Sports is pretty fair with the ratings they give out. One minor complaint I have is the fact McDavid doesn&#8217;t have a single stat that&#8217;s 99 overall. Given everything that Connor McDavid has done in the NHL, and how much of an offensive juggernaut he is on a nightly basis, you&#8217;d think his speed or puck handling would be 99 at least.</p>
<p>The defense surprised me a little bit too. Based on the criticisms Nurse gets online, you&#8217;d think he&#8217;d end up in the low 80s or high 70s, but it&#8217;s great to see EA showing him some love even though many Oilers fans don&#8217;t feel the same way. In terms of the game, this is arguably the best defense core the Oilers have had in any NHL title to date. Honestly, I don&#8217;t remember the last time they had three players above 84 on the blue line.</p>
<p>Skinner and Campbell are honestly perfect based on how both goalies played last season. For comparison, Adin Hill who won the Stanley Cup with the Vegas Golden Knights is also 84 overall just like Stuart Skinner.</p>
