After scoring 11 points in the first four games of Edmonton&#8217;s first-round series with the Calgary Flames, McDavid scored the overtime winner to send the Oilers to the Western Conference Final&#8230;

McDavid joins Glenn Anderson, Joe Murphy, Esa Tikkanen, Craig MacTavish, and Todd Marchant as Oilers to score a series-clinching overtime goal in the playoffs. Tikkanen is the only other one to do it against the Flames, as he clinched the Battle of Alberta in 1991 one game after <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-P3gA3lkNQ">Theo Fleury&#8217;s iconic overtime winner for Calgary.</a>
The Oilers are now moving on to the Western Conference Final for the first time since 2006. They&#8217;ll await the winner of the Colorado Avalanche and St. Louis Blues. Colorado currently leads the series 3-2.
With two points on Thursday night, McDavid now has 27 points in 12 games in the playoffs, tied with Leon Draisaitl for the league lead. The all-time record for points in a single playoff run is 47, set by Wayne Gretzky in 1984-85.
