The <a href="http://oilersnation.com/combinations">Edmonton Oilers</a> have signed their <a href="https://oilersnation.com/2023/06/29/edmonton-oilers-draft-goaltender-nathaniel-day-184th-overall/">2023 sixth-round draft pick </a>to an entry-level contract.

The club <a href="https://x.com/EdmontonOilers/status/1908580429634166979">announced</a> Saturday afternoon that goaltender Nathaniel Day had agreed to terms on the three-year deal. Day, 20, drew in for 59 games with the Ontario Hockey League&#8217;s Flint Firebirds, posting a 26-25-2-3 record, a 3.07 goals against average and a .894 save percentage.
Day was named the Firebirds&#8217; most valuable player this year after leading all OHL netminders in games and minutes played, facing the fourth-most shots and snagging the seventh-most wins.
The Firebirds posted a 29-34-2-3 record, finishing sixth in the OHL&#8217;s Western Conference and were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in five games by the Kitchener Rangers, who finished third in the conference. Day played all five games, posting a 3.37 goals against average and a .902 save percentage, with the one win being a shutout performance.
